Admiral-Music is Producing limited runs of Redesigned iconic vintage instruments. Guitars, amplifiers, sound devices, as wel as restoring instruments, amps, pedals, bullet harmonica mics, and what ever else you decide we need to build. Using our wide range of resources we can recreate the style that made the vintage artifact famous with hand made new reliable components for musicians who actually play professionally as ell as the pure hobbyist. The custom shop is also involved in the production and sound/video engineering for the production of; " Vintage Sound for Time Travelers". For the youtube channel series. now in its second season. Catalogue Redesign 1950s-60s Chicago Electric Guitars
Admiral-Music has in the past upon request as part of a repair / restoration for the many 'Catalog" guitars custom installed parts from other instruments. This practice is sometimes known as "Frankenstining". We first started doing models in San Francisco in the late 1980s. Many models still survive and are famous lore among our 'cult' followers. Kay , Harmony , Silvertone, Danelectro, Supro, National, Airline, Truetone, Early models are crude and not serialized. By the 90s We have separated ourselves from the dumpster divers and know where our work that still survives is. Serial numbers started around 2000. and most are stamped on the last one or two frets with a punch into the fingerboard (Mosrite style). Others are stamped inside cavities and other random places . Rare Inspection tape was also used on refinished and restro-wiring. (masking tape)
